HOW TO USE: GOOD APPLE SKIN PERFECTING FOUNDATION BALM FOR NATURAL-LOOKING FOUNDATION
Discover how to apply makeup step by step like a pro with these KVD Artistry Studio hacks. We’re sharing expert makeup tips on how to put on foundation seamlessly, every time. The question–how to have flawless foundation? The answer–start with your formula. Our recommendation? Good Apple Skin Perfecting Foundation Balm. Lightweight and full coverage, this creamy, hydrating foundation balm works as a foundation and concealer, giving you juicy apple skin—smooth and fresh on the outside, hydrated on the inside. Infused with nourishing apple extract and sodium hyaluronate, it’s perfect for normal to dry skinfor a skin-like natural finish.
TIP 1: OUTWARDS + UPWARDS
Redness and blemishes tend to be most problematic towards the center of the face, so our foundation tip is to apply a small dab of foundation to the center of your forehead, the sides of your nose and your chin. Then, blend outwards towards your jaw and hairline. Follow the natural contours of your face to get a natural, streak-free finish.
TIP 2: BUILD + BLEND
The best way to apply foundation for a smooth ethereal skin is to start light, build as you go and take your time blending. Using a damp beauty sponge (for medium to light coverage) or dense foundation brush (for full coverage), apply a small amount of foundation then pat or stipple for 1 to 3 minutes until you can’t tell that there’s anything on your skin. A little goes a long way–we mean it–so fight the temptation to load up your sponge all at once.
TIP 3: PRIME
For an ultra-silky finish, primer is a must. Lock-It Hydrating Primer creates a smooth canvas while hydrating the skin and minimizing the look of pores. Enriched with jojoba oil, aloe vera +shea butter, your skin will look healthy and fresh while your makeup is nice and locked in.
TIP 4: BALANCE
Balance oily skin in three simple steps: 1. Apply a mattifying primer. 2. Set your foundation with Lock-It Setting Powder (we love it for its micro-blurring technology). Dab with blotting paper before applying, then press it into the skin to mattify without drying or caking.
TIP 5: LOCK IT
While all our foundation formulas are long-wearing, you can get extra staying power with Lock-It Makeup Setting Mist. This non-sticky setting spray is our favorite way to revive skin that maybe looks a little too matte or stiff. Simply mist your face after you’ve laid down your foundation, then lock it using a clean sponge or brush.
